A trading journal for Angel One traders

Tradebook XLSX · AI screenshot import

Journal your Angel One trades two ways — upload the tradebook XLSX from the app or an AI-read screenshot. See the ₹ cost of every trading mistake.

Your Angel One tradebook already holds the answers

Somewhere in your Angel One reports is the honest version of your trading month: every fill, timestamped. The app shows you the total; it doesn't show you that most of your red days start with a trade in the first fifteen minutes, or that one oversized BANKNIFTY position undid two weeks of careful work. PnL Book is a trading journal that reads that tradebook and turns it into patterns you can act on — your own trades, nothing else.

Import is two steps: download the tradebook XLSX from the app and upload it, or let AI read a screenshot of your P&L screen. Fills are paired FIFO into round-trip trades, and everything passes through a review queue before it's saved.

Two ways to get your Angel One trades in

Tradebook XLSX. Angel One's Excel trade report, uploaded as-is — nothing to reformat.

  • In the Angel One app, go to Account → Reports → Tradebook and download the Excel (XLSX) file.
  • In PnL Book, go to Import → Angel One trade report — XLSX and upload it.
  • Review the parsed rows and commit — FIFO pairing groups fills into round-trip trades, duplicates are skipped.

AI screenshot import. A screenshot of your Angel One P&L or orders screen becomes journal entries in seconds.

  • Take a screenshot of your P&L, positions or orders screen — keep the full table visible, portrait orientation, no popups over the numbers.
  • In PnL Book, choose Import → Screenshot — any broker and upload up to 5 images (PNG/JPG). AI reads the symbols, fills and timestamps.
  • Every parsed row lands in a review queue first — fields the AI wasn't sure about are highlighted, duplicates are flagged. Nothing is saved until you commit.

From tradebook to invoice

The step that changes behaviour isn't importing — it's tagging. Mark the trades that broke your rules (revenge trade, oversized, moved stop, held loser) and PnL Book totals each habit's ₹ cost per month. Seeing held loser: −₹15,600 in print does what no resolution ever did. The method is laid out in Price Your Mistakes, and the 20-minute weekly review shows what to do with the totals every Sunday.
