Binance shows the balance. It doesn't show the leverage habit.
Binance gives you a running balance and a full trade-history export. What that export can't tell you is that your perpetual longs into a green candle — the FOMO entries — are where the account bleeds, or that your average loss dwarfs your average win because leverage lets a bad trade run. PnL Book is a trading journal built for that gap: it turns your Binance fills into round-trip trades, lets you tag the mistakes, and totals what each habit costs you in dollars.
Most journals die from data entry, so getting your Binance trades in is the part we've made almost free: the spot trade-history CSV Binance exports, or an AI that reads a screenshot of your order-history screen. Spot and perpetual fills both parse; we validate the CSV parser against real Binance exports, and screenshot import is the universal fallback.
Two ways to get your Binance trades in
Binance trade history — CSV. Binance's own spot trade-history statement, exported to CSV — your fills in one file.
- In Binance, open Orders → Spot Order → Trade History (or Wallet → Transaction History).
- Click Export Trade History, choose a date range (each statement covers up to 12 months) and generate the file — history beyond 6 months takes a little while to prepare.
- Download the CSV, then in PnL Book go to Import → Binance (CSV) and upload it.
- Review the parsed rows and commit — spot and perpetual fills are paired into round-trip trades and duplicates are skipped.
AI screenshot import. A screenshot of your Binance order-history or positions screen becomes journal entries in seconds — the fastest path for a handful of trades.
- Take a screenshot of your closed-trades, positions or orders screen — keep the whole table visible, no popups over the numbers.
- In PnL Book, choose Import → Screenshot — any broker or platform and upload up to 5 images (PNG/JPG). AI reads the symbols, sizes, prices and timestamps.
- Every parsed row lands in a review queue first — anything the AI wasn't sure about is highlighted and duplicates are flagged. Nothing is saved until you commit.
Then price the mistakes
Importing is the boring half. Once your Binance trades are in, tag the ones that broke your plan — revenge trade, over-leveraged, chased a pump, held a loser — and PnL Book totals the dollar cost of each habit per month. Over-leverage: −$3,100 this month is a number you can size against, not a vibe. If you trade with leverage, the mechanics are in crypto leverage and liquidation, and the wider habit-fixing case is in a journal for crypto traders.
Frequently asked questions
How do I export my Binance trade history to CSV?
Open Orders → Spot Order → Trade History, click Export Trade History, pick a date range and generate the statement, then download the CSV. Binance limits each statement to a 12-month range and history beyond 6 months takes a short while to prepare (limits per Binance's help centre, checked July 2026 — estimate, subject to change). Upload the file in PnL Book under Import → Binance (CSV).
Does the Binance import cover perpetual futures as well as spot?
Yes. Spot and perpetual fills both land in the CSV, and PnL Book pairs them into round-trip trades so leverage and average loss reflect whole decisions. We validate the parser against real Binance exports; if a file looks unusual, screenshot import is the fallback.
How far back can I import my Binance history?
As far as Binance lets you export — statements are generated in 12-month chunks, so pull older years one range at a time and upload each CSV. Overlapping ranges are safe because duplicate fills are detected automatically. (Export limits per Binance's help centre, July 2026 — estimate.)
Will PnL Book give me crypto trade signals or price predictions?
No. PnL Book analyzes your own past Binance trades — the $ cost of each mistake and your patterns over time. It never gives signals, tips or price predictions, and it is not affiliated with Binance.
